Community planting day at the Upfield Urban Forest's northern Merlynston stretch. One of the first community plantings to take place in Merlynston was this site, about 10 years ago. It's a little, well-established strip of gums and native shrubbery just north of Merlynston station, to the west of the train tracks in Bain Reserve. You'll find us just south of Boundary Road (near the concrete cricket pitch opposite FoodWorks).

While it's lovely, we need to rip out some weeds and fill in the gaps with some new natives so that they can take over (and show those weedy weeds who's boss)!

Please bring: a weeding implement, and / or a digging implement - and perhaps a snack to share. A wheelbarrow is always good if someone has one close by.
