Coburg Station

This section begins at Coburg Railway Station and heads north to Batman Railway Station

Location

Coburg Station is near Bell Street, quite a busy area and right next to the commercial zone between Harding and Bell Streets. For more information, please click the map below:

The stretch between Coburg to Batman Station contains some of the most exciting and well developed permaculture gardening on the shared path. Great inspiration to keep going.

Rani's Patch

Our local gardeners here are truly inspirational...Rani the head gardener is assisted by a neighbourhood of wonderful folk.  Thanks to Rani and her enthusiastic assistants (many of whom are children) "Rani's Patch" now has a beautiful park bench.  If you pick your season right, you can sit and contemplate the state of the world while feasting on delicious mulberrys.  In addition to the mulberry tree,  there are banana plants, plum, apples, loquats, broadbeans, bikes with pots, free the refugee signs, geraniums and an assortment of blackwoods and a shee oak....totally gorgeous work!   Watch out, a free library is on its way!

On 1 April 2017 Rani, Emma, Jane and Alex organised a weeding and mulching blitz.  The day was totally awesome and Rani and some of the now grown up kids that she has cared for (and inspired)  cooked the most incredible feast for the weeding crew.  We're all coming back....that's for sure!
